Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Enrique Iglesias has been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly running over an 11-year-old girl's foot and causing her mother distress for witnessing the incident.
The "Hero" singer and his manager, Fernando Giaccardi, are both named as defendants in the negligence suit filed by Lizette Torres for her daughter Susan Bonilla.
According to the suit, Giaccardi was backing up his vehicle in an "unsafe manner" while on a private property when he ran over Susan's foot. Both defendants left the scene and came back later.
The girl was near the vehicle to get an autograph from the international singer.
Lizette claimed she also suffered from witnessing the incident in 2007 when she experienced "emotional injury and emotional shock to her nervous system causing her damages."
The mother and her daughter are seeking damages amounting to at least $25,000.
